DC says administration will keep strict eye in bylanes and localities

Ranchi: With Ranchi contributing nearly half of Covid-19 cases which are being detected across the state the district administration is taking all possible efforts to stop the spread of pandemic.

Addressing a press conference here Ranchi DC Chhavi Ranjan said that at public places not more than five people will be allowed to gather while from April 8 to April 30 all shops, restaurants and clubs will remain open till 8 pm only however home delivery will be allowed from the restaurants.

He said that without masks entry will not be allowed at the government offices, bus stands, railway stations and shops while all kinds of procession and demonstrations have been banned. Further he said that swimming pools and gyms will be closed and no sports activities will be allowed.

The DC said that banquet halls will be used for weddings with maximum of 200 guests allowed and in bars and restaurants only 50 percent people will be allowed to be seated.

The DC said that apart from the main roads of the capital the administration will keep an eye in the bylanes and localities and action will be taken if the guidelines will be violated.

SSP Surendra Kumar Jha said that the police department has made all necessary preparations to ensure that the guidelines issued by the government are followed in the district. He exuded hope that the people will extend necessary cooperation.
