Hockey players from Chandigarh return back from Simdega after testing negative for Coronavirus

Simdega: Hockey players from Chandigarh who had come to participate in junior women's hockey championships returned back to their homes on Tuesday after they tested negative for Coronavirus.

The team of Hockey Chandigarh had arrived in the city on March 30 after which they were made to go through mandatory Covid-19 tests. In which 5 of their players tested positive and 6 players from Jharkhand and a coach also tested positive as a result of which the tournament which was supposed to commence from April 3 got cancelled and infected players were shifted to covid care centre.

The other players who had tested negative were kept in separate quarantine facilities. After all of them tested negative they were granted permission to return home after which all the players on Tuesday with the help of district administration.

Still four players from Jharkhand are in the Covid care centre for treatment.
