Deoghar: On the last day of filing of nominations for the bypolls on Madhupur seat of Jharkhand Assembly a total of five candidates including Ganga Narayan Singh of the BJP filed their nominations.
Apart from Ganga Narayan Singh four others are all Independents including Rajendra Kumar, Ashok Kumar Thakur, Ashok Kumar Modi and Ashok Verma.
Before filing his nominations Ganga Narayan Singh paid tribute at Pathrol Kali Mandir and other temples. Later he reached at the office Electoral officer cum SDO Yogendra Prasad and filed his nominations.
After filing his nominations he reached at Sheikhpura Maidan a public meeting was held by senior BJP leaders including Babulal Marandi, Deepak Prakash and Party MPs Nishikant Dubey, Sunil Soren and Annapurna Devi.
