International Women's Day: Female staff to be deployed at Ranchi railway Station

Ranchi: On the occasion of International Women's Day on Monday across 2771 booths special camps will be organised for the female voters.

The district administration has appealed to the women that they should come forward to register their name in the voter list or to make corrections in their voter ID cards if there are any flaws in them. 

On the other hand, the female staff of the Railways will be handling the entire operations on Monday at the Ranchi railway station. DRM Neeraj Ambasth chaired the meeting in this regard in which it was decided that right from the train operation to people at the ticket counter security cleanliness staff and even for the checking of tickets female personnel will be deployed on duty.

In the Ranchi division there are a total of 650 women employees and this step has been taken to increase their morale. On March 8 at the Ranchi railway station more than 100 women will be deployed on duty and for the first time for a day a woman will be given the role of the station manager who would look after the entire management on the other hand female drivers of the Railways will be operating train on the Ranchi Lohardaga railway line in which right from the train driver to the guard TT and security stop all would be women.
