Dhanbad: A local court in this district once again rapped the jail administration over the transfer of former Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh to Dumka Central Jail.
The court of district and sessions judge Ravi Ranjan that why not action should be taken against the Jail IG and Superintendent of Dhanbad Jail for the contempt of the court and the matter be sent to the high court.
On this the public prosecutor assured the court that soon the process of transfer of Sanjeev Singh from Dumka Jail to Dhanbad will be completed. He said that a letter has been sent to Superintendent of Dumka Jail to send the inmate back to Dhanbad jail after which necessary instructions from Jail IG and police force has been sought. The public prosecutor urged the court provide some time.
The court later instructed the public prosecutor to submit his reply in written. Earlier the lawyers of Sanjeev Singh led by DM Tripathi had accused the jail administration of doing contempt of court.
