CM asks Centre to reduce tax on Petrol, assures Jharkhand will follow

Bokaro: The rising prices of petrol and diesel have heated the political atmosphere in the country and even Chief Minister Hemant Soren has now joined the debate.

The Chief Minister who was on one day visit to the district said that petrol and diesel were not a matter of the state but if the central government reduces the tax and lowers down the prices then the state government will also think over the same.

The Chief Minister said that if the centre will do it work then the state government will also think over it. He said that rising prices of petrol was not alone the issue of the state however he said that the state government will solve all the issues which are in the interest of Jharkhand and its people.

Highlighting the achievements of his government he said that it is the JMM that has framed new laws for the JPSC which was not done earlier. He said that going forward the youth of the state will need not go outside in search of job as the government is preparing rules as per which in the private sector 75 percent of jobs will be reserved for the locals. He said that his government has started delivering justice to the displaced and the landowners as their acquired land is now being returned and this process will continue into the future. He said that the purpose for which the land is acquired and if the goal is not being realised then it will be returned back to the real landowners.

Adding further he said that the agitation of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha was for a Vrihat Jharkhand. He said that though Jharkhand has been created but the regions of West Bengal which were supposed to be its part in those area people are doing agitation and as far as the Assembly elections are concerned the parliamentary board of the party will take a call as to on how many seats the JMM will contest in West Bengal and soon a decision in this regard will be taken.

Over the comments made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said that he was a political party and he was working to expand its reach. Over the issue of some Chief Ministers skipping the meeting of Niti Aayog he said that every state has its own issues and circumstances however he had kept his issues before the Prime Minister and the Niti Aayog.
