General Budget is a Budget for Aatam Nirbhar Bharat: Arjun Munda

Ranchi: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda on Sunday said that the General Budget for 2021-22 is a budget for Aatam Nirbhar Bharat.

   Addressing a press conference at the state BJP headquarters he said that in the budget interests of villages, poor, farmers, women, youth, old, traders have been addressed. Further he said the budget has also accorded focus on strengthening of basic infrastructure, roads, transport, security and is aimed at making the nation a economic superpower.

    He said so far 8 crore people have been provided benefits under Ujjwala Yojana and in the budget the benefits have been extended to 1 crore more women. He said that the migrant workers will be linked with one nation one ration card scheme. Munda said that for strengthening of health sector 137 percent budget hike has been made while for the vaccination drive a sum of Rs 35,000 crore has been assigned,  further for Pradhanmantri Aatam Nirbhar Bharat Swasthya Yojana a sum of Rs 64,180 crore has been set aside which will be beneficial for the people.

    He said that the centre was committed to double the income of the farmers and a provision has been made to provide one and a half times of the MSP on produce while to make availability of farm loans 10 percent hike has been made and a sum of Ra 16.5 lakh crore has been made while for rural development a sum of Rs 40,000 crore has been set.

    The Union Minister said that in the Budget focus has been given on education and research and provisions have been made for building 100 Sainik Schools, 750 Eklavya schools at the block level and University in Leh.

   The Minister also detailed the budgetary allocations which have been made under separate heads for development of infrastructure, defence and other areas. He claimed that all possible steps to make India a 5 trillion economy.

   Earlier he participated in a Buget Pe Charcha programme which was held in the party headquarters where he shared the details and the vision behind the budget with the intellectuals.
