ED raid at house of wanted Maoist, 6 plots and a house seized

Daltonganj: A team of the Enforcement Directorate on Friday seized the properties of wanted maoist commander Mahaveer Yadav alias Abhijit Yadav located under different police station areas of Palamu district.

The ED has seized the properties of Yadav in Medninagar, Chattarpur and Harihargunj. On the 6 plots and a house the ED has put up its board. In Medninagar the land was seized in Nimiya and Bariya in presence of Sadar CO Ramnaresh Soni while in Chattarpur three plots were seized and in Harihargunj along with a plot an under construction house was also seized. The property was accumulated by the maoist in the name of his wife Geeta Devi.

A total of 55 cases are registered against Abhijit Yadav in different police stations of Jharkhand and Bihar. The ultra for the last one decade has been active in bordering areas of both these states and has remained away from the hands of the police.

The hardcore maoist hails from Bandhudih village under Chattarpur Police Station area and also carries an award of Rs 5 lakh on his head which has been declared by the Jharkhand government.

Abhijit Yadav is the main accused in the IED blast case which was executed in Kala Pahad of Chattarpur in the year 2016 in which 7 policemen were killed. Further is also the prime accused in murder of local BJP leader Mohan Gupta which had taken place in Pipara Bazar in November 2019.
