Light rain and drizzle in capital, cold to intensify from Saturday onwards

Ranchi: Some of the areas in the state capital on Friday received light rainfall and drizzle.

The local Met Department has predicted that after the clouds clear the minimum temperature in the capital can decline by 2-3 degrees. The weather department has said that two separate cyclonic circulation areas are developing into separate regions of the country while one such area was being formed in Southeastern Rajasthan the other was located in Southern Assam whose impact will be seen on the weather of Jharkhand also. For the next 3-4 days the minimum and the maximum temperature in the capital will continue to decline.

Apart from Ranchi some other districts also received light rainfall and drizzle, whereas in areas where rain fall was not seen medium intensity of fog was witnessed.

As far as the weather across the state during the last 24 hours concerned it had remained normal with the capital city of Ranchi and some other districts reporting mild cloud cover, one or two places in Bokaro reported cold waves. Chaibasa was the hottest in the state at 26.8 degrees while Giridih was the coolest at 6.7 degrees.
