Kolibera bypolls: Simdega DC asks political parties to strictly follow model code of conduct

Simdega (By our correspondent): DC cum district electoral officer Jatashankar Chowdhary today asked all the political parties to strictly follow model code of conduct in wake of the Kolibera bypolls. Briefing the press Mr. Chowdhary said that the model code of conduct has to be followed by the common people, political parties, candidates and officials and employees who are involved in the
by-poll. He said that the district administration will also keep an eye on the use of social media platforms which would be used by the political parties for canvassing. 

Mr. Chowdhary said that the district level media certification and monitoring committee will also keep an on the paid news and said that till the entire election process is complete on government function would be organized in the region. He also urged the political parties not to indulge in any such act which would lead to communal or community tension. The DC said that the administration was committed to conducting fair and free by-elections in Kolibera and was also conducting vehicle checking drives in all the prominent roads leading to the constituency and CCTVs have been also installed to keep an eye on any suspicious movement.
