Family members beat health staff in Hussainabad following which medical personnel go on strike

Daltonganj: Family members of a patient alleging lack of treatment created an uproar at the Hussainabad sub-divisional hospital of the
Palamu district and also beat up the multi-purpose worker of the hospital after which the medical staff barring the doctors went on a strike in the area. 

Sub-divisional health officer S K Ravi said that on Wednesday morning one Arjun Mehta was admitted at the hospital complaining urinary problem. As his condition did not improve he was later referred outside. However couple of hours later 15-20 people from the village of patient entered into the hospital and threw away the medicines and other items in the emergency ward and also tore away the register and beat up the health staff.

After Hussainabad, the health staff of Mohammedganj and Haidernagar also went on strike demanding arrest of the culprits and demanded security. Later an FIR in this connection was also registered at the local police station.
