Ranchi (RP Service): Pioneering unique treatment for high-risk patients who do not have any surgical option to repair or replace their heart valve, a team of interventional cardiologists at Medanta – The Medicity operated upon a 65-year-old patient to relieve him of a serious life risk by performing MitraClipis.
Mitraclipis is a non-surgical treatment option in which a catheter is inserted in the patient’s leg through which a clip is placed in the heart to hold the leaking valve, MitraClip is a safe alternative to the traditionally prescribed valve repair surgery. Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director, Medanta said that the hospital strives to enhance patient access to the best possible treatment system benchmarked to global standards.
