3 day Van Mela comes to an end, business of Rs 35 lakh recorded

Ranchi (By our correspondent): The three day Van Mela which was organised jointly by the Forest and Environment Department
and FOWA came to an end on Monday following a function in which Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Sanjay Kumar and Nishi
Kumar was present. In the three day event, a total 58 stalls were put by the forest management committees selling items related to forest produce, items of daily need, decorative items, paintings, mud statues and items made from stones and metals, terracotta items and other garments.

During the three-day programme cultural programme was also held in which Paika, Mundari, Nagpuri, Bharatnatyam, Odissi and other dance forms were performed. During the event, more than 20,000 people visited the spot including foreigners from Japan. In these three days, overall business of Rs 35 lakh was reported.
