Chatra: In a major success for the district police a zonal commander of the Tritiya Prastuti Committee who was carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head was arrested from Lawalong Police Station area of this district. Addressing a press conference at the collectorate here ASP operations Nigam Prasad said that the TPC Zonal commander has been identified as Surendra Ganjhu alias Manish who was active in Chatra district.
He said that police had received a secret tip off that the ultra had come to his home located in Lawalong after which a joint team of the district police and CRPF conducted raids and arrested the man along with about Rs 88,000 in cash which was collected as levy and three mobile phones.
