Ranchi (By our correspondent): AJSU party’s central president Sudesh Kumar Mahto called upon the people to reject the one-sided decisions being taken by the administration and the bureaucracy and asked the people not to make a compromise on their self-esteem. Addressing the villagers of Arahara of Barkagaon Assembly area during the course of his Swaraj Swabhimaan Yatra he said that the officials will have to come among the farmers and their farms to know about their right condition.
In his veiled in an attack on the Global Agriculture and Food Summit, he said that a fair has been organized for the traders who want to buy produce from Jharkhand but no one is worried about the real condition of those producers. Mr. Mahto said that Jharkhand was facing the issue of protecting the land as farming was not easy here. Moreover, the drought has further aggravated the condition of the farmers, he said adding that the schemes are decided as per the will of the administration.
Mr. Mahto said that teaching in schools was shut and para-teachers being made to wander from one spot from another and on what basis the claims of quick development is being made is tough to understand. Mr. Mahto said that through this yatra he was only urging the people to take a pledge that they would be strong to raise their voices at the correct time. Those present also included Devsharan Bhagat, Roshan Lal Chowdhary, Lambodar Mahto and others.
