Agriculture Minister gets finger fractured, sustains head injuries as truck comes in front of car

Ranchi/Jamtara: Agriculture Minister Badal sustained head injuries and had a finger fractured as his car met with an accident while he was travelling to Jamtara from Ranchi.

The driver of the vehicle managed to apply sudden brakes as a speeding truck came in front of the vehicle. Apart from campaigning in Dumka and Bermo bypolls the Minister is also campaigning in Amarpur constituency of Bihar as a result of which he is travelling between Ranchi, Dumka and Bokaro on a daily basis.

The incident came to notice as on Friday morning the minister reached the Sadar Hospital in Jamtara for treatment. The doctors treating him at the hospital said that the minister had one his fingers fractured while he has some head injuries which was not serious.

When asked by local journalists as to why he had come to Sadar Hospital he said that since being the minister it was his responsibility to trust the system and the doctors of the government hospital, therefore, he came here rather than going to the private hospital. He went on to say that all the government officials and even ministers should get treated at government hospitals.
