Ranchi: A delegation of Ranchi Press Club met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday and handed him a charter of demands.
The delegation demanded that the journalist protection act should be implemented in the state, problems in the journalist pension scheme should be rectified and seriously ill journalists should be provided financial help.
Further, the delegation also sought financial assistance for late journalist PV Ramanujam.
The Chief Minister assured the delegation that necessary action would be taken on their demands. Those present included president of Ranchi Press Club Rajesh Kumar Singh and other office-bearers.
