Education Minister Jaggarnath Mahto sent to Chennai via air ambulance for better treatment

Ranchi: On Monday evening Education Minister Jaggarnath Mahto was air lifted to Chennai MGM Hospital for better medical treatment.

For the smooth transit of the ailing minister the district administration had made a green corridor. Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Agriculture Minister Badal were present at the airport to see off the minister in the air ambulance in which health team of the hospital was present.

On Sunday late night a team of three doctors had reached Ranchi from MGM Hospital Chennai and after detailed consultation with the doctors treating him in Ranchi and those from Chennai it was decided to shift the minister as soon as possible to MGM Hospital Chennai.

The Education Minister was initially admitted at RIMS on September 28 after he was detected positive for Coronavirus. Two days later as his condition did not improve he was shifted to Medica Hospital where he was admitted for the last 22 days. Unfortunately the condition of Jaggarnath Mahto had hailed to improve as his lungs have been 90 percent infected.

Since he was admitted in hospital on September 28 on three occasions his Corona test has been performed and all of them turned out to be positive. The doctors of Medanta Hospital have too suggested the minister to undergo a lung transplant.
