End of scrutiny: 12 remain in fray for bypolls in Dumka, another 16 in Bermo

Ranchi: After the end of the scrutiny process a total of 12 candidates are in the fray for the bypolls on Dumka (Reserved ST) and another 16 are in the race for the Bermo seat.

In Dumka, the 10 candidates whose nominations have been found valid at the end of the nomination process included Basant Soren (JMM), Louis Marandi (BJP), Dulal Marandi (Ambedkarite Party of India), Surya Singh Besra (JPP), Jagarnath Pujahar, Babudhan Murmu, Miachel Hembrom, Mukesh Kumar Dehri, Dr Shrilal Kisku, Sunita Murmu, Sanjay Tudu (all Independents).

On the other hand, candidates whose nominations have been found to be correct included Kumar Jaimangal (INC), Baidnath Mahto (CPI), Yogeshwar Mahto (BJP), Lal Chand Mahto (BSP), Kaleshwar Ravidas (RPI Athawale), Pankaj Prasad (Rashtriya Jansangharsh Swaraj Party, Baijnath Gorai (Peoples Party of India Democratic), Shankar Ghasi (MCC), Sujit Kumar Barnwal (Right to Recall party), Kailash Chandra Mahto, Khirodhar Kisku, Dinesh Kumar Munda, Dwarka Prasad Lala, Sameer Kumar Das and Sunita Tudu (all Independents).
