Six minor girls rescued in Latehar, two traffickers arrested

Latehar: Six minor girls were on Tuesday rescued from being trafficked and two human traffickers have been also arrested by Manika Police.

Police sources said that these girls were rescued from the High School located under Manika Police Station area. All the girls were promised to be given jobs where they would get Rs 30,000 per month.

The girls said that they were being taken to some other state where some of them had been promised a sum of Rs 30,000 per month for job while others were promised marriages in good families.

The arrested human traffickers have been identified as Virendra Oraon and Inderdeo Oraon. A car driver who was hired to take these girls is also being questioned. Later the girls were handed over to their respective families.
