Poriyahaat MLA writes to Rahul Gandhi to extend cooperation in construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

Ranchi: Poriyahaat MLA Pradeep Yadav has written a letter to former AICC president Rahul Gandhi urging him to extend his cooperation in construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Mr Yadav has requested to leaders of other political parties as well to wholeheartedly support the construction of the temple as he claimed that if people from a particular party would be involved in its construction than under its disguise they would also indulge in some kind of politics.

He said that his request if considered will be a vital step to strengthen the unity, diversity and secularism credentials of the country and will also prevent the temple from having a mark of a particular party on the temple.

In his letter to Mr Gandhi Pradeep Yadav has said that Congress should also come forward and collect funds that can be contributed for the construction of the temple and Mr Gandhi should himself lead the initiative. Further he has urged leaders of all secular parties to come forward to contribute in the construction of the temple.

Yadav went on to add that since he was earlier associated with BJP therefore it would be assumed that he was making such statements but these are far away from the truth. He said that if all will not contribute for the construction of the temple than a message of strong and secular credentials will not go to the world.

A copy of the letter has been also given to BSP Supremo Mayawati, TMC head Mamta Bannerjee, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, TRS president KCR, Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSR Congress and JMM's acting president Hemant Soren.

Yadav had won from Poriyahaat seat on JVM-P ticket but later switched to Congress. However, as the matter is pending before Speaker Court therefore technically he is also yet to named as a Congress MLA.
