Four including couple arrested for murder in Gumla

Gumla: Police have arrested four accused including a couple and a minor in connection with a murder which had taken place under Ghaghra Police Station area of this district on Friday.

SDPO Kuldeep Kumar on Sunday said that four accused included Baratiya Oraon, his wife Shanti Devi, a minor and a villager Sukna Oroan. The SDPO said that on Friday night the deceased Vijay Oraon was involved in an altercation with Baratiya Oraon in his house after which all the four attacked him using sticks and stone.

Later the body was thrown some distance away next to the road and the body was recovered on Saturday. The villagers on that day itself had accused the couple of murdering Vijay and handed over the woman in the accused family to the police station.
