Raghubar asks railways to speed up pending construction projects in Jharkhand

Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das asked the railway authorities to speed up the construction
of pending railway projects and construction of railway over bridges in the state. In the meeting with the General Manager of the
South Eastern Railway Purnendu Mishra here he said that on the likes of Maharashtra a corporation should be formed between
the state government and the railways. He said that by the means of this corporation the works related to railways will be done and this will help to speed up work and the projects would be completed on time.

The Chief Minister also asked the complete the construction of ROBs in Chutia, Namkum Kandra, Ketari Bagan and Gaya Bridge in Dhanbad as soon as possible. He also demanded that the Ranchi-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and LTT superfast express should be operated daily while Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express be extended till Jaipur while a separate train be provided to Ranchi-Lucknow-Dehradun.

Mr Das also said that the running days of many trains should also be increased and a proposal in this regard sent to the railway board. Those present in the meeting included Urban Development Minister C P Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister K K Soan, Secretaries of the Road Construction and Transport Department along with senior officials of the railways including ADRM Ranchi Vijay Kumar etc.
