Godda (By our correspondent): Chairman of Coal India Anil Kumar Jha visited the Lalmatia Coal Project of the Eastern Coalfields Ltd located in this district. Upon reaching the spot the jawans of the CISF gave a guard of honour to the Chairman at the Rajmahal House after which he visited the mines.
He also held discussions with Chief General Manager D K Nayak on how to increase the production from the coal mines of the area and also inspected the works currently on. He also directed the officials of the ECL to form a committee so that the annual target of achieving 17 million tones of coal production can be achieved and also asked them to increase the coal production. Mr Jha also inaugurated a bridge which has been built on the Simda-Lalmatia road at a cost of Rs 3. 5 crore and also water storage tank which has been constructed by the company under CSR.
