Elephants create havoc in Suriya block of Giridih

Giridih: A group of 20 elephants created havoc in Suriya block of Giridih district.

The elephants reached Rajdah Dham late Friday night and destroyed the doors and the windows of the temple and marriage hall located in the temple premises. They also destroyed the tables, chair, benches and other items which were kept in the marriage hall.

The elephants also ate the rice and other food items which was kept for the priests of the temple. Since the temple is located inside the forest therefore nobody stays in the night and even the priests come up early in the morning.

On Saturday morning the members of the temple management committee informed the forest department about the incident.
