Jamshedpur: A minor boy was drowned in the Swarnarekha river under Ulidih Police Station area of the East Singhbhum district.
The deceased child has been identified as Samri Nayak (12) a resident of Shyamnagar. Police said that the boy along with his friends had gone to take bath in the river when he went into deeper waters.

His friends raised an alarm after which people nearby pulled out the boy and informed his family members. He was taken to the MGM Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
