Khunti: A couple of sisters lost their lives as lightning fell on the rooftop of a house located in Kochang village under the Arki Police Station area of this district.
The deceased have been identified as Sani Bhengra (42) and Birsi Bhengra (30). Though the incident had taken place late night itself police was informed on Friday morning by the local Mukhiya.

The brother of the deceased said the family members were doing their homely chores when suddenly lightning struck in which both his sisters died on the spot while he sustained minor injuries.
A police team that later reaches the village sent both the bodies for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
