Hazaribagh: Body a minor girl was found hanging from a tree near a local river under Katkamdag Police Station area of this district following which the brother-in-law of the deceased was arrested.
Family members said that the girl was a student of class 7th. The mother and the sister of the girl said that accused wanted to marry the girl despite already married. The arrested along with his two brothers reached the house and took the girl along with them for finding liquor but did not come back.
Early in the morning villagers informed the family about the body of the girl hanging from the tree after which police was alerted. A police team which later reached on the spot said that it appears that the girl was murdered and later she was hanged to give the
incident the shape of murder.
The body of the girl has been sent for post-mortem police said adding that whether the girl was raped or not would only be clear post the post-mortem. Further probe was on.
