Changing face of crime has to be taken as a challenge: Raghubar

Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that in the era of technology the face of the crime is changing and the security forces are on a daily basis facing new types of crimes which they should take as a challenge. Addressing
the inaugural session of the 8th National Women Police meet here he said that policemen will be made capable in every field. He said that in this event discussion would be held on to how the expertise can be improved and more professional approach can be adopted in tackling of crime and the outcome of the deliberations would be beneficial for all. 

Mr Das said that there were tremendous opportunities in every sector in the state as the state has all the ingredients needed for development. He said that if the women are taken along than no one can stop the progress of the state as the women of the state have already made up their minds to accelerate the growth of the state and keeping in mind their special contribution the 33 seats in police recruitment has been reserved for the women and a separate battalion has been formed. He said that to provide further facilities to the women work has been also done to improve the basic infrastructure. He said that in India the women are worshipped in the form of Goddess and daughters and sisters have brought laurels for the nation in various sectors.

He welcomed the participants in the land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and said that it is the thought of the Prime Minister that women power should become the strength for the nation, state and society and stressed on the need to give further opportunity to the women in all the walks of the life. Those present on the occasion included Jharkhand DGP D K Pandey, BPR&D DG A P Maheshwari, chairperson of the event B Sandhya, Secretary Sampat Meena, Priya Dubey etc.
