Ranchi (By our correspondent): Jharkhand would be the focus state in the 49th edition of the Indian International Film Festival
which will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28 at the Panaji. In this international film festival, 212 films from 68 countries would
be showcased.
During the festival, November 24 would be celebrated as Jharkhand Day in which films which have been shot in the state including Death in the Gunj, Ranchi Diaries, Begum Jaan would be showcased. On that day the cultural teams from Jharkhand would also be giving a presentation so that the people of the world can get to know about the dance and culture of the state.
This is for the first time that any state has been included as a focus state in this film festival. A separate stall to promote the film policy of the state would also be put up at the venue which is expected to encourage ethe film industry further in Jharkhand.
