JVM(P) demands judicial probe on lathi charge on parateachers & media

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) demanded that a judicial probe should be ordered into the lathicharge on para
teachers and media persons by the state government failing to which the party would approach the Governor to intervene into the matter.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here party’s central general secretary and MLA Pradeep
Yadav said that a judicial probe should be ordered over incidents at Morhabadi ground where police beat up the para teachers and the
journalists who were covering the events. He said that if the government will not announce a judicial probe within 7 days that it will approach the governor over the issue and even after that action fails to be taken than his party will hit the roads.

Mr Yadav also alleged that more than 60-65 percent teachers who were given appointment letters in the plus 2 government schools of the state are outsiders who are different states of West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. He pointed that in 11 subjects in which 1235 appointment letters were distributed among them on 617 seats (50 percent seats which fall in unreserved category) appointment letters were given to 462 outsiders which means 76 percent seats were filled by outsiders.

The JVM (P) leader said that since the state government came out with a very weak domicile policy outsiders were also able to intrude into the reserved category seats and said that state was not formed so that the outsiders can be ‘distributed sweets’. He demanded that appointment of outsiders should be immediately put on hold by the state government and order probe that how intrusion was made in the reserved category Mr Yadav
retreated the old demand of the party according to which as per the recruitment policy all government jobs in Jharkhand should be reserved for the locals for the next 20 years and the government should reannounce the domicile policy.
