Gumla: Unidentified armed miscreants looted cash and valuables worth nearly Rs 5 lakh from a home located in Chapka village under Ghaghra Police Station area of this district.
The victim Shiv Prasad Sahu said that the family was having dinner a group of five armed men committed the dacoity after taking family members hostage on gunpoint and fled from the spot.

He said that the criminals had taken away cash worth Rs 1.25 lakh and jewellery worth around Rs 2 lakh along with other precious items. After the criminals left the family raised an alarm following which the neighbours gathered and informed the police.
