Raghubar prays to Bhagwan Bhaskar to bring prosperity in the homes of poor

Jamshedpur (By our correspondent): Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that Chhath was such a festival of the Indian culture and tradition where people offer their obeisance to the setting sun and prayed to the god to bring prosperity in the lives and homes of the poor. Addressing the people at the cultural programme organised at Sidhgoda Surya Dham here he said that Sun god was responsible for the existence of the world and the human lives.

He said that with the help of the people of Jamshedpur the construction of Surya Dham was completed in 2002 and since then only cultural programmes are organised at the venue and this was its 16th consecutive year. Mr Das said that Chhath was the festival of purity and cleanliness where people for four days worship the Sun God. He prayed to the almighty to bring prosperity in all the homes and also in the state. He said that Sun god was the symbol of light, power and brightness, therefore, every home of the poor of the state should be filled with happiness, he prayed to the god.
