Fight against Coronavirus: Doctors and nurses to stay in hotels and lodge

Ranchi: The health department is making arrangements in the hotels and lodges so that the doctors and nurses involved in the treatment of Coronavirus patients can stay in there.

The step has been initiated by the health department for the safety of the families of the medical staff. Principal Secretary Health Nitin Madan Kulkarni has written a letter to all the DCs of the state in which they have been asked to book all the hotels and lodges which are located near hospitals that have been identified for the treatment of Coronavirus patients.

In his letter, Mr Kulkarni has written that for the treatment of Coronavirus patients separate Hospitals have been identified and therefore it was important that the stay of medical staff arrangements near the hospital should be made for which the nearby hotels and lodges can be used.

He said that the health staff involved in the treatment of Coronavirus patients will have to live in that premises and will not be allowed to leave anywhere. Moreover, if arrangements are made far away than vehicles should be provided for their traveling.

For the doctors in RIMS, arrangements have been currently made at the paying the ward where 18 rooms have been kept reserved for them in the fifth room and the canteen operator has been asked to make arrangements for the food of the doctors.
