Ranchi: Senior IAS officer Sukhdeo Singh took over as the 23rd Chief Secretary of Jharkhand.
He is an IAS officer of 1987 batch. He replaces Dr DK Tiwari who retired on March 31.
Before taking over he was handling the charge as Additional Chief Secretary of Home Prison and Disaster Management Department and was also in the role of Development Commissioner.
Sukhdeo Singh will retire from his service in 2024 which means he might continue as the Chief Secretary for the next four years.
