36 men from 24 districts of Jharkhand attended Tablighi Jammat says report of Special Branch

Ranchi: Jharkhand made its entry into the Coronavirus index of the country as it recorded its first case with a Malaysian woman testing positive for Coronavirus in the state which sent the entire state machinery into a huddle.

The woman was among the 17 foreigners who were caught hiding inside a mosque in Hindpiri area of the state capital and had attended Tablighi Jammat in New Delhi.

Moreover, 36 men hailing from the 24 districts of Jharkhand also had participated in the gathering and have returned back to the state in the last one week says a letter of the Special Branch of Jharkhand Police.

The letter was sent a couple of days earlier and has been addressed to all the DCs, SSPs and SPs of the state.

Through the letter, the officials have been asked to identify the men and make them undergo necessary medical tests.

The Special Branch has shared the names, addresses and mobile numbers of these men who had attended the Jammat.

District wise a maximum of 9 men from Dhanbad had attended the programme followed by 3 from Ranchi and 2 each from Chatra, Deoghar and East Singhbhum districts. 

From the remaining districts of Bokaro, Dumka, Garhwa, Giridih, Guml a, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Khunti, Koderma, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Palamu, Ramgarh, Sahibganj, Saraikela, Simdega and West Singhbhum 1 each had attended.
