India has best laws for tribals opines constitution expert Subhash Kashyap

Ranchi (By our correspondent): Renowned constitutional expert Subhash Kashyap said that laws which have been framed for the tribal population of the country were the best. Addressing a lecture organised at the Aryabhata Auditorium here on the 5th schedule of the Indian Constitution he said compared to the other nations the tribals laws are best in the country however they are not being properly executed. 

He also termed wrong the pathalgadi which was being done in the tribal areas in the name of their own rights and said that traditional pathalgadi is acceptable however in the present form it should not be done. Stressing on the need for focusing more tribal rights he said that the Union Government has framed the PESA Act but the same was thrown in the cold storage by the state governments. He said that the yearly report being sent to the President which are being sent by the state governments are the mere reports which are being forwarded by the departments over the tribals.
