RMC team visits Chhath Ghats to review preparations

Ranchi (RP Service): A team of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation led by Additional town commissioner Girija Shankar Prasad visited the various Chhath Gahts and water bodies in the capital to review the cleanliness for the festival of Chhath. During the review, he directed the officials to commence the work of cleaning the ponds on a war footing and said that all the ponds should be cleaned before the festivals and even the danger spots be identified and signage erected.

Mr. Prasad said that till the end of the festival the cleanliness would continue as the RMC was committed to ensure that devotees do not face any trouble. He also visited the temporary ponds which have been constructed at Vidyanagar and Anandnagar at the banks of Harmu river and directed to provide arrangements of generator and lighting. A total of six such temporary ponds have been built for the festival.
